Christina Lee (Shakira, Shakira Belly Dancing!

Belly dancer. Samba dancer. Crazy splits-lady. Adorable goofball."I just love being able to connect with people; young/old, adult/child, student/audience....my favorite dance moment was when I was dancing at an Arabic wedding and a beautiful old lady stuffed some cash into my bra!" www.rocknrollbellydance.com

Sophie Luxton (Hip Hop/Pussycat Dolls/Sensual Movement)

"I think it's totally cool that no-one dances like you IN THE WORLD!We all have a totally unique and beautiful style that no-one else can match. That is wild to me. It's a thought that calms me and keeps me happy. And when all else fails, there is always a great song that makes me forget all about heartache and pain and represents everything that is beautiful in life. I can just stand and sway to the music; no technique, nothing fancy. Who cares?!"www.sophieluxton.com

Rumbi Mugwagwa (African Fusion!)

"For most people they hear songs first in their heads, then they dance.....I dance first and then the song comes. I LOVE to dance everywhere, anywhere and to anything. I love it so much my friends wonder when I ever stop; I wonder too! The older I get the more dances I learn. I am an African fusion dancer because no matter what song comes on, my African dance roots kick in first then every other form of dance will come out that! "www.nouvelexpose.com

Tracie Yee (High-Heeled Hotties - Latin style!)

“My favourite dance moment is Cyd Charisse’s first movie appearance in a cameo dance role as a gangster’s mol in “Singin’ in the Rain”. I remember seeing it for the first time when I was about 10 yrs old – I think my grandfather had it on VHS or something – and thinking that she was the exact embodiment of what kind of dancer I wanted to be. She was strong, slinky and so gorgeous and her style was a mix of ballet, jazz and 1930’s bad-ass girl!"

Avital Gazit (Cardio Can Can)

"I love the transformative power of dance. Looking back I never thought that I would have made a career out of performing and teaching; in school I was chubby, quiet and always picked last for sports teams. It is so amazing to see my students shift from not feeling comfortable looking at themselves in the mirror to exuding sexiness and self-confidence. I also love spending an hour of fun exercise while releasing negative, stressful thoughts. As George Clinton said; "Free your mind and your ass will follow!" www.saucytarts.com www.amarabellydance.com

Sadie Yancey (Hula Hoop Dance)

"I crave new and full of fusion; I am amazed at how a movement can change with a little re-shaping and a new beat, how drastically a new mood can change a dance, and how a dancer can reinvent their style every year.  I love to move, to wiggle and to giggle, and to know my body, like a ninja! I dream of the day when isolating my hips will free me from certain death!" www.hooptoronto.com
